Geraldine has been genuinely great at supporting me and teaching me techniques that allow me to become more independent with managing my mental health. She is very helpful and understands how my autistic tendencies impact me. I would highly recommend her and she is simply a lovely person.

A very intuitive and supportive therapist.

Warm, experienced therapist helping you navigate life’s pressures with authenticity, balance, and compassion.

Hello, I’m Gerry, a BACP Accredited Therapist with over 16 years of clinical experience.

I hold a Master’s degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, and my approach is deeply rooted in Carl Rogers’ Core Conditions — empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space where you can explore whatever is happening in your life and begin to make meaningful change.

For the past 18 years, I’ve worked in a university setting, supporting students aged 18–25 as they navigate major life transitions — from leaving home, developing independence, balancing study demands, to managing friendships, relationships, and finances. I also work with postgraduate and research students (PGR/PGT) facing academic pressure, perfectionism, and self-doubt.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience counselling university staff at all levels — from academics and administrators to cleaners and security officers. I understand how workplace stress, unclear boundaries, and competing demands can impact emotional wellbeing, and I help clients find balance, resilience, and fulfillment in their work and personal lives.

My approach is person-centred at its core, but I also integrate Mindfulness and Solution-Focused Therapy to support emotional regulation and practical change. I have experience working with individuals with ASD and ADHD, and I aim to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs and pace.

Research shows the therapeutic relationship is key to progress, so I work collaboratively — helping you recognise your strengths, move through blocks, and reconnect with what truly matters to you.

Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage. I’ll meet you with empathy, respect, and warmth, and together we’ll work toward a more balanced and satisfying life.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. I have been to a number of therapists over the years. Spent lots of money and many months seeing them and not one of them has moved me forward through my issues to the extent that Geraldine has in just 3 sessions. I felt immediately understood and seen and now understand how I can manage my issues when they occur. I simply can't recommend or praise Geraldine enough.
