Emma is wonderful, I feel supported, motivated and listened to

Reviewed November 2023

She’s a great listener. One of the things that strikes me the most is how she brings back things that I have said in previous sessions letting me see how actively she’s listening to me. She helps me find the solutions or issues of my situations by letting me talk and asking the right questions in the right time. As she said, “you have to put the work”, but having a good guide is essential. She’s an outstanding professional and I couldnt recommend her enough.

More about Emma

  • 5 years' experience
  • Female
  • BACP

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for counselling and psychotherapy (BACP). I work privately and as a volunteer for a cancer charity and have over 20 years experience within the NHS.

My approach is to provide a warm, supportive, safe and confidential space to explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviour, so you feel understood whilst gaining insight and time to reflect within the safety of the counselling relationship.

Counselling can be a very rewarding experience, enabling personal growth, positive self awareness and help to introduce coping strategies. It can improve your emotional well being and to feel more capable to deal with life's challenges.

My counselling approach is integrative, blending different theories and approaches to suit you. I use a collaborative approach to help you decide what you would like to get out of your therapy sessions.

I will work alongside you throughout this process, providing support warmth and care.
