More about David

  • 8 years' experience

My clinical and social work experience has mostly been in homeless shelters, homelessness prevention programs, and in supportive housing apartment for people who were homeless before. I’ve done this since 2011 and continue to do so.

Because of working in these environments and with this population, I have come to meet and support individuals and families with various life problems, traumas, and emotional health, and addiction issues.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I hope we can get to know each other better so that I can provide you counseling sessions that will better help you.

I offer all 3 types of sessions to choose from: (1) video call; (2) voice call; or (3) live chat.

I’m not facilitating supportive groups/workshops at this time but I will look for groups available on BetterHelp that may fit your needs and share the info to you.

I'm mostly available on weekday evenings and Sundays. If you need time slots outside of that availability I may be able to accommodate at times, but If you need sessions outside of that availability to be consistent I recommend you request to be assigned to a different therapist.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
