Hello, I'm Mark.

Life can feel tough at times and feelings can begin to overwhelm us.  Perhaps you find yourself here because you are feeling anxious, or angry, or sad, and can't quite put your finger on why.  Perhaps you are finding relationships hard or are in a particularly challenging  stage of your life.

I offer a calm, holding and empathic space in which clients can create awareness and understanding of the feelings and emotions that hold them back and block how they would like to live their lives.  My holistic, relational and non-judgemental approach provides an environment for clients to explore the here-and-now challenges of life and reflect on them in the context of their full life experience.

I work short-term on the BetterHelp platform, up to a maximum of 12 weeks. I recommend an initial 30 minute session to meet, understand what you are looking for from therapy and agree whether a short-term relationship is right for you.

As an Integrative counsellor I draw on a number of approaches and sessions are tailored to the needs of each individual client. I believe strongly in the values of autonomy, choice & responsibility and hold that we all have the internal resources to find solutions that can lead to meaningful change.

I hold a Diploma in Counselling from The Minster Centre and am currently studying for my MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I am DBS checked and hold full liability insurance

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
