Stina | Registered Counsellor | Master of Counselling | Certified Somatic Therapist | IFS-trained | Trauma-informed / Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher | ACA Level 4

With over a decade of experience in the field of mental health and community services, I offer a grounded, integrative approach to counselling that honours the complexity of the human experience. I hold a Master of Counselling and I am a certified somatic therapist, trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), with additional foundations in yoga, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person’s inner wisdom and capacity for healing. I provide a warm, attuned space where my clients can safely explore their inner world, navigate challenges, and move toward meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, person-centred, and trauma-informed, drawing on modalities including somatic therapy, polyvagal theory, attachment work, and systemic frameworks.

I support clients through a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, life transitions, grief, relational challenges, and identity exploration. I specialise in working with girls and young women as they develop agency, voice, and self-trust in a world shaped by patriarchal conditioning.

I also support women, trans, and non-binary individuals navigating cycle-related issues such as PMS, PMDD, endometriosis, and the emotional impact of hormonal imbalance. My work is firmly grounded in queer-affirming and intersectional practice, creating space for all identities and experiences to be seen and honoured.

In all that I do, I seek to honour the interplay of body, mind, and spirit. Sessions may include elements such as mindfulness, grounding practices, breathwork, or guided visualisation, offered gently and with consent.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about rediscovering what is already whole.

I look forward to connecting with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
