Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She’s been great so far!
She has been a great listener.. I always come out of it feeling better and with a plan.
When I began working with Catherine Hughes, I wasn't in any kind of crisis, I just didn't feel like myself anymore and it was affecting my work and my closest relationships. She helped me reframe my experiences and look at myself - and my complex life - in a much more benevolent, realistic light. And then when I went through the death of my sibling, Catherine was available anytime I needed her to process my grief, and to not get ahead of myself in worrying about what was next. Catherine Hughes has a gift for being really present and offering insights that come with strategies (and even worksheets). I highly recommend her as a therapist.
Looking forward to therapy sessions.
BetterHelp did a brilliant job of matching me with Catherine Hughes. The minute we met I felt we just clicked and "She got me". She has a welcoming, soothing, and healing personality and is very insightful. We were able to immediately zoom in on my issues. The resources and exercises she supplies have also been very beneficial. I would highly recommend Catherine Hughes who is extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and caring.
