More about Rosie

  • 3 years' experience

I am a UK based counsellor with 3 years of experience. I have supported clients with a variety of things including stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, relationship issues, disordered eating as well as coping with day to day life.

I have experience working with individuals, teens and couples, as well as working with a range of additional needs including ADHD and Autism. I am particularly passionate about supporting women with undiagnosed or late diagnosed ADHD.

My role before becoming a counsellor was a teacher so I have a real understanding of working a high stress job/ burnout and anxiety.

I have also completed training and have an understanding of working with body-image and self-esteems issues as well as disordered eating and eating disorders.

I am a trained person centred/client led therapist so I am here to listen and talk through YOUR experiences but I will try and facilitate change for you and may draw on other therapy techniques in order to best support you and what you mind need from your sessions with me.

I hope to work with you and explore your experiences and point of view, however I am here to help you achieve your therapy goal so that may mean gently challenging you, I don't feel I am the type of counsellor to just sit back and nod. I really want to support you and your goals/aims for therapy.

I feel passionately about talking therapy and believe that being heard and truly listened to, without judgment is one of the most important factors within counselling.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
