Hello, I'm Imogen. I am a therapist based in England, a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and a huge advocate of a person-centred approach to mental health care.
I work with clients struggling with their mental health or difficult life events, and have particular experience helping clients with anxiety, relationship issues, childhood trauma, self esteem, adult nightmares and suicidal thoughts. I believe that positive therapeutic outcomes are rooted in a positive therapeutic relationship, with this dynamic being a healing conduit for change.
I have previously worked for multiple charities and counselling agencies, but now work privately as an affiliate therapist, both in-person and online. I obtained an undergraduate degree in English Literature before studying Person-Centred Counselling and Therapy, then later gained an additional qualification in Suicide and Self-Harm. My recent enrichment has focused on training in trauma, the brain and existential living.
I ground my work in authenticity, empathy and non-judgement. If these guiding principles resonate with you, then we may be a good fit. I really look forward to hearing from you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
