I was seeing someone in person for years, she was supportive but I often felt like I was just venting to someone for a lot of money. Then I decided to try Better Help, which lead me to connecting with Jenna. The amount of work we have done together in such a a short frame of time compared to my old therapist is a night and day difference. She listens very well, has great feedback and ways to work through different situations. She is also great at making notes to circled back to throughout our sessions. I also really appreciate when I am in the “wrong” or something along those lines, she has a great and gentle way of letting me know because that’s a big part of the work in therapy too. I truly feel like I have made a significant amount of progress since seeing her. I would genuinely recommend Jenna to everyone if I could. She is flexible with scheduling, and communicates quickly. I am beyond grateful that this app connected me with her!!! Thank you, Jenna! She is a master at her craft.

Hi! My name is Jenna and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor [LPCC] in the state of Ohio with 6 years of professional working experience-- 7 if inclined to include clinical internship hours. I have successfully assisted people to overcome and cope with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders; trauma-related symptoms and disorders; all types and variations of relationships, relationship dynamics, and family or group challenges; general life transitions or adjustments; career exploration; and in addressing the day-to-day "stuff" that can sometimes weigh heavily on us when we are working toward discovering our most authentic, comfortable, and enlightened self.
Prior to independent practice, the majority of my experience had been with youth and young adults, as well as couples or families from high-risk populations--- whether it be those struggling with or impacted by substance use, legal involvement, family disruption and separation, multiple traumas, and otherwise. I tend to utilize an eclectic approach predominantly rooted in ACT, CBT, DBT, and existential therapies while also emphasizing the creation of intentional space to truly hear you; a space to explore and process through the life experiences that have made an undoubtable impact on you along the way. I whole-heartedly believe that we are the experts of our own being: no one is going to know you or know how to heal you more than yourself, but I would be honored to walk next to you and help you reconnect to whatever it is that "that" means for you.
I tend to take a more casual, conversational approach: offering a blend of professionally trained and skilled clinical mental health therapy with empathy, humor, collaboration, and "nerding out" about social and emotional topics with the intention of improving the understanding of yourself, and to feel empowered (and maybe even grateful) to experience life as you... exactly as you are. I frequently incorporate radical acceptance, authenticity and identity development; do my best to cultivate a genuine connection and rapport; include the celebration of autonomy and freewill; and lean heavily into education. I believe that the first steps toward sustainable change are awareness and honesty. We have to be real about what it is in order to be real about our healing and reconciliation; we're going to have to grow through what we go through.
If this sounds like an environment and therapeutic approach that may align with what you are looking for, I encourage you to reach out so that we can talk more!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Jenna has been most helpful in my mental health journey. She is very empathetic, kind, and understanding. Very open minded and able to give perspective to things.
She is an amazing therapist who helps give insight into problems. She listens very intently and responds to each topic. I’d recommend her to anyone who asks. Hands down best therapist I’ve had.
She always helps me see things through all of my emotions so I can work through things I can’t on my own. Giving me input on things I need help with that sometimes I don’t even know I need help with, seeing the underlying cause of what triggers me. She is also good to point out the positives whether it’s something we accomplish in therapy together or something I have worked on myself between sessions she helps me acknowledge all the small positive steps I am taking because I rarely let myself see them.
She's absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her! She's very LGBT friendly and can understand things from a perspective most therapists can't!
