I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with a passion for helping people overcome personal difficulties and achieve happier lives. My work is grounded in respect, trust, tolerance, fairness, freedom of choice, and honesty. I use a Person-Centred approach, incorporating Egan’s Skilled Helper Model, and tailor my methods to each client's needs. By integrating both approaches, I aim to offer a holistic and adaptable therapy experience that addresses clients' emotional needs and practical challenges. This integration helps clients find solutions to their existing problems and concerns while providing a balanced emotional approach to support them through their emotional struggles.

Since 2016, I have worked in the NHS and various EAP services across England and Ireland, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, work-related stress, bereavement, and relationship concerns. I have experience with clients from diverse cultural, personal, and neurodiverse backgrounds.

One area that I am particularly passionate about is Critical Incident Stress Management Debriefs. In this role, I support individuals who have been affected by traumatic events, providing them with the tools and support they need to process their experiences and move forward. I travel to different workplaces throughout the UK to offer this crucial support, helping people navigate the aftermath of critical incidents and find a path to recovery.

I remember one client who came to me feeling overwhelmed by work-related stress and anxiety. They were struggling to balance their professional responsibilities with their personal life, and it was taking a toll on their mental health. Through our sessions, we worked together using the Person-Centred approach and Egan’s Skilled Helper Model to explore their feelings and identify practical strategies to manage their stress. One breakthrough moment was when the client realized the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care. They began to implement small changes, such as taking regular breaks, practicing mindfulness, and communicating their needs more effectively at work. Over time, these changes had a significant positive impact on their well-being. Seeing their transformation and the renewed sense of balance and happiness in their life was incredibly rewarding for me as a therapist

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
