Aloha, greetings from the beautiful state of Hawaii. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Hawaii and North Carolina with over 40 years of professional work experience. I retired from the United States Army, where I was fortunate to serve our military members and their families. I work with individuals, adolescents, families, and couples, covering a vast array of issues. I work with clients on building and strengthening relationships with premarital counseling, marriage and post marital relationships. I am a faith based counselor focusing on issues of coping with grief and recovering from loss. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, family conflicts, parenting skills, identifying self, depression and many other situations you may be experiencing. As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. If you are looking for non-judgemental support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am happy that you are taking that important first step of getting started. I believe you are the expert of your life story. I look forward to assisting you in enhancing your ability to honor your strengths, while developing your unique story. My therapeutic approach consist of: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, narrative and other models of therapeutic interventions as required during our session. Please reach out to me and we may begin this journey together.
