Hello, I am Jacqueline Switzer, LMHC, M.A. For. Psych.. For nearly 2 decades I have dedicated my career to helping others. This has come in many forms over the years from group home experiencein my early career care/case management, managing a homeless shelter, crisis managment and intervention, contractor for NYS Dept. Of Corrections (DOCCS), group and individual counseling.
I have been a practicing therapist for 8 years, but my working experience in the mental health field far exceededs that. Thanks to my diverse background I am able to be a strong advocate for my clients and it gives me a unique approach that is trauma informed, solution focused, with psychoeducation and mindfulness
intertwined throughout and allows me to provide unbiased quality care for my clients.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
