Hi,

Welcome to my profile. I know that it can be quite daunting to look for a counsellor, so it's great that you have taken the first step. I would like to help with what you are going through at the moment. Sometimes we need to talk to someone who can be more objective to talk to than friends and family , and sometimes it feels as though things are so mixed up we're not even sure what is wrong, like tangled up Christmas lights. An experienced therapist can offer a warm , supportive and safe space; using their training and experience to help untangle those lights if needed, find new paths and ways of reacting or doing things, help you find new perspectives, strategies and ways to manage. with you at the centre of the work, choosing how you feel most comfortable to work and adjusting what suits you as we go along.

I am a fully qualified and Accredited counsellor with sixteen years experience. I have particular experience in working with anxiety, depression, stress, attachment , grief and loss, relationships, family and child difficulties, including sleep, separation anxiety, divorce and blended families.

My training is Integrative, which means that I use a combination of theories , techniques and strategies tailored to you, which may include person centered therapy, solution focused therapy, CBT, The emotional freedom technique and some creative techniques if this suits you. I want to get to know which ways of working you are most comfortable with, so that you

Please don't hesitate to get in touch. I would be very happy to discuss how I can help, in more detail and I very much look forward to hearing from you, very best wishes, Erica

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
